This idea came from Team 1 - a group of 10 students aging from 8 to 14. With the desire to reduce the amount of plastic discharged into the environment, contributing to a green lifestyle, the group had the idea of implementing the Bioplastic project - producing items from bioplastic with the main ingredient being grapefruit peel combined with other ingredients. Bioplastic products are shaped into household items such as disposable eating utensils, coasters, etc. The products are highly durable, heat resistant and do not get moldy. After a period of use, these products made from bioplastic will be collected and composted with microbial products to create organic fertilizer, reused for plants. The composting process only takes 4-5 months with sufficient humidity, pH and good environmental temperature. This is a fertilizer that not only provides nutrients for plants, but is also easy to make and safe for the environment.
