This project introduces a floating device that operates on the water surface, capable of collecting waste and filtering water in urban rivers, lakes, and ponds. This is a simple yet effective technology to address water pollution – one of the biggest challenges today. Reasons for choosing the project: Water pollution has been threatening public health, especially in large cities and residential areas along rivers and lakes. With the desire to improve water quality, Team 4 has developed this device as a small step that brings great value to the environment. The device helps to clean surface water in urban areas, reduce waste and pollutants, thereby improving the ecosystem and the quality of life for residents. In addition, the device is also suitable for use in remote areas or disaster-stricken areas, helping to ensure clean water when needed. How it works: The device floats on the surface of water bodies: rivers, lakes, and ponds. It sucks dirty water into a filtration system consisting of a fine mesh, sponges, and activated carbon. It filters out dirt, bacteria, chemicals, and removes floating debris. The filtered water is discharged back into the environment or stored for use. The device uses a solar-powered pump, making its operation sustainable and energy-efficient.
