The project presented by the team focused on addressing water pollution caused by untreated wastewater. They proposed the use of natural filtration systems such as wetlands and aquatic plants to purify wastewater before it is released back into the environment, emphasizing the importance of sustainability. This approach can effectively remove pollutants and provide additional benefits such as carbon sequestration and habitat creation for wildlife. The aim is to find innovative solutions
that protect biodiversity and promote sustainability. The wastewater is driven to the treatment unit through water pipes where it goes via bar screens. Then, the water goes through a filteration plant where all the contaminants are separated through natural filters. Lastly, the water is chlorinated.
